01 / Why we built Lanehouse
You run the business.
We bring the dispatch experience.
The truck payment is yours. The fuel bill is yours. The business you are building deserves an experienced dispatch team behind it.
Independent carriers need to plan loads, coordinate drivers and manage the week while running their businesses. Our co-founders built Lanehouse to put experienced dispatch support behind that work.
We plan ahead, negotiate rates and keep the load details and dispatch fees clear, with your trucks operating under your own authority.
The story behind Lanehouse02 / The operating discipline
A fleet to run.
A week to think through.
The driver needs a plan. The broker needs an answer. Tomorrow’s reload is still unresolved. Whether you run one truck or twenty, too many dispatch decisions still depend on you.
Inside the operating method
Plan further.
Work on the next move before the truck empties.
Choose better.
Compare empty miles, time and destination alongside the loaded rate.
Negotiate better.
Use market context, broker behavior and human judgment to work the rate.
Position better.
Consider what the delivery market makes possible next.
Show everything.
Keep final rates, confirmations, fees and weekly outcomes visible.
03 / How we choose freight
The bigger number
is only the beginning.
Load A pays more. Load B needs fewer empty miles. We compare the full move: revenue, miles, time and where the truck can load next.
Our dispatch desk weighs those details together to select freight that fits your truck and the week ahead.
See the load comparison| The first move | Load A | Load B |
|---|---|---|
| Loaded rate per mile | $3.00 | $2.68 |
| First-load gross | $2,400 | $2,144 |
| Empty miles to pickup | 140 | 18 |
| Gross per total mile | $2.55 | $2.62 |
| The tradeoff | Higher gross | Less repositioning |
Compare the full move: rate, empty miles, time and the next load. Hypothetical example, not Lanehouse client results.
04 / The independence stays yours
Every rate. Every fee.
In the open.
Our transparency standard We run the desk.
Planning, sourcing, negotiation, broker coordination and weekly review, within the scope agreed with you.
You set the boundaries.
Your authority. Your drivers. Your equipment. Your lanes, home time and booking instructions.
You see the full rate.
The full booked rate and confirmation. One agreed dispatch percentage, calculated and shown separately from the full booked rate. A weekly review of what actually happened.
The experience behind the desk
Trucks supported by the company where our COO gained dispatch experience.
You should not need 300 trucks to operate with 300-truck discipline.
Our COO gained dispatch experience at a company supporting more than 300 trucks. He now personally leads dispatch at Lanehouse, bringing that experience to load planning, broker coordination and clear handoffs.
Lanehouse is built for established dry van, flatbed and reefer carriers with 1–20 trucks and freight booked on the spot market. Twelve or more months of authority is preferred.
